Literature Girl

This is a review on the famous book that has sold millions, Fifty Shades of Grey, by E.L James. I know there has been a lot of negative feedback on this book, which in all honesty, I don't know why. In my opinion, I thought this was such a great book. I loved the whole love story, with the shy, naïve girl, Anastasia Steele and the handsome, rich and mysterious Christian Grey. Most people think that this book was about domestic violence, rape or just think that its just porn sending a bad message. For all the people who think this, then you obviously haven't read the book. It's a love story that has BDSM, not rape or domestic violence. The main female character, Ana, actually consents to the things that happen in the book, like getting spanked and tied up, and quite enjoys it. Therefore, she doesn't get raped and she does not get hurt in the slightest. And, if you read the other books in this series, it actually doesn't even show much BDSM at all, its just normal vanilla sex. As for the fact that Christian doesn't want to hurt her, which really proves how much he loves her. So I don't know how people think this book is about rape or domestic abuse. And sure it has sex scenes, but its not like its full on porn or anything. And the other thing that people think, is that this book doesn't have any kind of plot and is all about sex. Well, that isn't true at ALL. This book is a love story and has a deep plot, though it may not seem like that at first. I think most people think this because they may not have read the other books in this series. I am just saying, this is actually a really good book that is misinterpreted by many people. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so if you think that this book is a bad book, then that's fine. But I just want people to know that there really is much more to this book then what people think and often misinterpret. Well, I will do a proper book review some other time, since this was a post to all the haters.
